Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministry

POSITION SUMMARY
Our congregation seeks a vibrant leader to provide vision, leadership, and coordination for ministry to children and youth (ages 0-18) and their families. This organized leader will collaborate with the pastoral staff and CYF team to develop and administer a ministry that cultivates relationships, spiritual growth, intergenerational community, and worship participation. The person in this position will build relationships with our children and youth and will also build relationships with congregation members so that children, youth, and family ministry is a ministry of the whole congregation. Additionally, the individual in this role will have proven experience in adaptive leadership and demonstrate an enthusiasm for experimentation and creativity.

The Director of CYF will have a sound understanding of Lutheran theology and demonstrate an ability to teach and model it. They shall also be consistent with the values of our congregation, including but not limited to: the use of inclusive language for God and people, multi-generational engagement, and commitments to LGBTQIA+ inclusion, anti-racism, and eco-justice.

This is a FT position. Compensation includes salary, option for health benefits, retirement package (10% contribution), 3 weeks vacation, 1 week continuing education, mileage reimbursement, and funds for professional expenses and continuing education.
