CARE MINISTRIES

Visitation Team
The Visitation Team visits, calls, and takes communion to our homebound members, as well as people experiencing injury or illness, or who are in the hospital. This group is collaborative and responsive, visiting regularly with folks or as needs arise.
If you would like to arrange a visit from someone on the Visitation Team, or if you would like to join the team, please contact Pastor Reed at r.fowler@graceofav.org. For new members of this team, there will be initial training about best practices around listening, confidentiality, and bringing communion.

Card Ministry
The Card Ministry at Grace meets at 1:00p on the first Wednesday of the month to write milestone birthday and anniversary cards, as well as to write to our homebound and college members.
-
Prayer Shawl / Baptismal Blanket Ministry
This Ministry meets at 1:00p on the fourth Wednesday of the month to knit/crochet/sew together, to talk, to share patterns, and to pray. This group creates lap blankets and wraps for folks who are in need of some extra care – after a loss, near the end of life, or experiencing illness. We also make blankets for those who are baptized at Grace.
For both the Card and Prayer Shawl Ministries, if you would like to get involved and cannot attend the standing meetings, or if you would like to request a prayer shawl, or know someone who would appreciate one, please contact Pastor Reed at r.fowler@graceofav.org.
