Dear church,
As I pen my note to you this week, I am packing my bags and preparing to leave for New Jersey early Monday morning. I have been accepted into the sixth cohort of a program called “Iron Sharpening Iron” at Princeton Theological Seminary. The first gathering will take place next week, Monday to Friday. I’m eager to meet the others in my cohort and am especially excited that the cohort is comprised of leaders from across the country and across denominations. Along with my acceptance letter, this program also sent the following letter that they asked me to share with my congregation. It is the intention of this program that it strengthen not just me and my leadership, but our whole community. Thank you for giving me this time away to learn and grow as a leader. I look forward to sharing and implementing the learnings along the way!
