In February: America’s Original Sin: Coming to Terms with Race
The Racial Justice team invites you to participate in a four-part series led by Professor Andrew Packman (better known around here as Pr. Sarah’s spouse). Professor Packman will lead us in classes that explore race and antiblack racism throughout American life, including ties to the Christian faith and American history. Developed with a theological lens in mind, the four sessions will focus on:

February 4: Session 1 – Race as Idea, Institution, and Sin

February 11: Session 2 – Overt Racism: From Slavery to Civil Rights

February 18: Session 3 – Covert Racism: The Case of Housing in Chicago

February 25: Session 4 – Implicit Racism: Evil Lies Close at Hand

We hope you’ll join us for all four classes, but each forum will also be recorded if you need to

listen to it at another time.
