We will have a brief worship service at 9:30a. Service projects will begin after worship.

Registration is required - deadline to sign up is September 15!‍ ‍

Projects in the Community

Hymn Sing (20 slots)

Sing for, and with, residents at two local senior living facilities - Ecumen and Cassia. 

Assist Grace Members with Home Projects (6 slots)

A couple of members in our community (Apple Valley) could use some help with projects such as furniture moving and window washing. 

Drain Stenciling (27 slots total; priority given to our Confirmation students and families, but additional spots are available, so sign up if interested)

Using kits and instructions provided by the city of Apple Valley, we will stencil clean water warnings on gutters near storm water drains.  

Park Cleanup (40 slots; this is a great option for families with younger kids!)

Pick up trash and paint kindness rocks at Summerfield Park: 13866 Dublin Rd, Apple Valley. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch and stay and play! 

Projects at Grace

Thrivent Cause Kits (25 slots)

Put together small water filters and solar lights. Instructions & help provided. We will return the assembled kits to Thrivent and they will help distribute to people who need these tools. 

Sandwich Making (6 slots)

Assemble and package 200 sandwiches that will be delivered to the Salvation Army in Minneapolis on Monday. 

Get Out the Vote Postcard Writing (20 slots)

Write postcards encouraging voters to exercise their rights and vote in the November election. Sample script and recipient list provided. 

Deep Cleaning at Grace (10 slots)

Pews and other wood surfaces in the sanctuary need to be dusted/polished. Many of our plastic tables could use some cleaning with a magic eraser. Supplies provided. 

Testing Craft Supplies (5 slots)

Sort through and test craft supplies such as markers, glue bottles, and scissors. This will help us, in a very short amount of time, get rid of what no longer works and make sure things are ready for kids’ activities this fall!
