Many people have heard about Green Burial practices but wish they knew more about it: what’s it really like, and could it actually work for a church funeral? 
Reverend and Professor Ben Stewart has been studying and writing about Green Burial for more than a decade and will offer an introduction to green burial highlighting 
    a) practical steps to take in planning green burial options,       
    b) how green burial can deepen our spiritual and theological appreciation for the gift of our mortal lives, and 
    c) how trends in green burial practice relate to justice and the healing of the earth. 
Ben serves as Distinguished Affiliate Professor of Worship at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago and Pastor to Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Two Harbors, Minnesota.
