Grace Lutheran Church is a people and place where generosity and graciousness abound. We live that in many ways, including how we respond to the opportunity to build up our faith community and the people it serves through what we offer.
We believe that God has richly blessed us as individuals, and we acknowledge and accept our calling to be Christ for others through giving of our time, talents, and treasures. In this way, we express appreciation for all that God has given us. Together, we challenge each other to be reflections of God’s graciousness and generosity to those around us. We do this with grace, for Grace, and for all those served by our faith community. It is in this giving that we grow in our relationship with God and God’s world.
Below, you’ll find different ways to give to the ministry of Grace Lutheran Church. There is incredible, transformative, engaging ministry happening in this community, and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. The experiences and relationships we build at Grace last a lifetime, and we’ll continue to create spaces and opportunities for faith-forming experiences, grace-filled relationships, and engaging programs.
Making a gift to Grace through our automated giving platform is easy and secure. You can select your method of giving (credit card or bank account), the fund you’d like to give to, and set the gift as recurring in a variety of increments. Note: the ideal method for Grace in terms of fees and planning would be a donation given through bank account transfer on a recurring basis. This our strong preference as helps us wisely and accurately forecast budgets.
Give In Person
When we gather for worship, and often for special events, we’ll take an offering. You are welcome to place cash and/or check donations in the offering plate or designated basket. If you would like your cash donation to be recorded for tax purposes, use a provided envelope with your information on the front. If you are giving regularly to Grace in person through the offering plate or other methods, we’d love to know your plans to help our staff and leaders wisely plan and predict what’s ahead.

Give via Time and Talent
We all have gifts, talents, and passions, and there is a place at Grace for you to use yours. A Frederick Buechner said, “The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.” We pray that might happen at Grace. Would you consider letting us know what you love to do? We’ve set up your Grace profile with a gifts, skills, and passions section. To enter your information, login (or create) your account and add this information to that section of your profile (plus check your other information for accuracy). As always, you can contact our Volunteer Coordinator with any questions or creative ideas.
Give via financial products or qualified charitable distributions
Grace is honored to be a part of your giving plan. We accept and encourage gifts through will/estate plans and insurance distributions, and have resources to help create these kinds of plans. We also work regularly with annual or regular qualified charitable distributions, and are happy to work with you and your financial institution to make this process as straightforward as possible.
Tax Deductions & Implications
Gifts made to Grace Lutheran Church are tax deductible. Payments for event or program registrations, deposits for trips, the sale of products like Bible study books, or other non-donations gifts are not tax deductible. We’ll send our giving statements at the end of each year, and donation history and giving statements are available for print or download through our system. The taxes implications for Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) are managed by your financial institution, and are not deductible at Grace’s level.
