Funerals

When someone dies, the church shares the grief of those who mourn. In a funeral or memorial service, we give voice to our sorrow, thank God for the gift of our loved one’s life, and affirm our trust in God’s promise that death never has the final word. Our funeral services include storytelling, prayer, songs, and scripture, all of which hold the hopes and fears of grief.  

Arrangements for funerals can be made by contacting us directly, or by putting us in touch with the funeral home you’re working with. We also provide grief support through our pastors and care ministries.  

You may also wish to consider in advance your wishes for a funeral or memorial service. Thoughtful selection of certain hymns and scripture can be a gift for those who remain. Contact either Pastor Sarah Rohde or Pastor Reed Fowler to set up a time for conversation about this.
