HERE IN MINNESOTA
Over 200,000 children in the state of Minnesota live in food insecurity and do not always know where they will their next meal will come from. The Sheridan Story’s mission is to respond to this need by closing the weekend food gap between Friday and Monday, when children are not able to participate in the free or reduced meal programs at school. We partner with Cedar Park Elementary, right here in Apple Valley.
HOW WE’RE HELPING
Volunteer to Deliver Food Packs
We deliver weekend food bags to classrooms/lockers on Fridays at Cedar Park Elementary (8-9 am on Fridays) and Valley Middle School (during any class period, but not during a passing time). To learn more and volunteer fill out the simple volunteer form via the button below. Our coordinator, Donna Drankwalter, will be in touch with next steps.
