The mission of Augustana Care is to serve God by fostering fullness of life
for older adults and other people in need through the provision of
health care, housing and other services in a Christian tradition.
Grace Lutheran Church proudly supports Augustana Care, a non-profit organization that provides senior housing, health care, and community-based services to older generations and others in need. There are several Augustana facilities in our area, including:
- Augustana Care Apple Valley Campus (14650 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley)
- Augustana Care Open Circle of Apple Valley (14610 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley)
- Augustana Care Regent at Burnsville (14500 Regent Lane, Burnsville)
- Emerald Crest Burnsville by Augustana Care (457 E. Travelers Trail, Bursnville)
Grace members of all ages volunteer to help with a variety of activities at the Augustana facilities. Volunteers play games with, serve coffee to, and read one-on-one with Augustana residents. Some of our volunteers play the piano for residents, and some bring their pets to visit. But most of all, Augustana residents just want someone to talk with them.
There are Grace members residing at both Apple Valley Augustana locations. If you are interested in visiting with the residents or have a group of Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts, day care students, a school club, or other group that would like to visit, please contact Marie Christianson, Augustana Liaison, at 952-432-5399.
See the Augustana bulletin board in the church atrium for updates and for items to donate, or visit www.augustanacare.org for more information.
