Reverend Michelle Gawienowski has served as an ordained pastor since 1997. She grew up in Austin, Minnesota, went to Mankato State University and graduated from Luther Seminary in St. Paul. She has served in North Dakota, Iowa, and Minnesota in many different settings and roles. She was the Senior Pastor at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Shoreview before going on leave from call for the last six years to follow the call of parenting full time to be home with our son. She lives in Burnsville, with her husband Peter and their six-year-old, Luke. During her time away from full-time ministry, she has had opportunities to serve as an Interim Associate Pastor in a number of different area churches. Her passions for ministry include leading times of intentional prayer, retreats, teaching, preaching and leading worship. In 2018, she became a trained facilitator for a ministry called “All In”, a curriculum for adults that was created from the Peer Ministry program. This has been a very energizing curriculum for her to teach at various churches and she has brought it to the interim congregations where she has served. Pastor Michelle is excited for her time at Grace. She met Pastor Deb when they were both at churches in Farmington.
