Interfaith Community Gathering
April 27 · 6:00 – 7:30pm · Online via Zoom
Several local faith communities will gather next week to voice and process their feelings about all that has taken place over the past year in relation to the murder of George Floyd. Using Zoom breakout rooms, we will gather in small groups so we can ensure that every voice is heard. BIPOC attendees will be separated into their own group for (labor-free) processing.
The organizers, are asking for each participating congregation to contribute $50-75 for the presenters. (This is completely optional – I do not want for anyone or any group to be denied access to this space because of financial limitations.) With quite a few congregations attending, it is their hope that we collect enough to use for future interfaith gatherings in coming months – we all know this work is a marathon and not a sprint! Checks can be made out to First Covenant Church (810 S. 7th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55415) with “Interfaith Gathering” in the memo line.
