Spiritual Practices for Lent and for Life
We’ve been through some hard things, and we don’t know when it will get easier. This Lenten season, let’s lean on God, who listens to our honest cries. Let’s listen to one another’s stories. In these two spiritual practices, we’ll gain strength. We’ll start healing.
For five Wednesdays starting February 24, we’ll share a creative worship experience via video that will offer two practices: Listening to God’s word in a time of meditation; and an uncommon and simple, yet deep practice for listening to one another. We’ll find comfort, and also be nudged outside of our comfort zone. We’ll premier these videos at 12:00 noon and again at 6:00 pm each Wednesday – watch when it works for you; and then join a Zoom conversation from 6:30 to 7 p.m. to try these practices in safe, grace-filled community.
Is your life too complicated for that right now? No worries. Each week, we’ll offer a word from scripture for you to meditate on and a deep question to ask someone at your kitchen table or your computer screen. We know this: It is a gift to be listened to. Here is the plan, week by week:
