Begins Sunday, November 22nd thru December 20th with Pastor Jen Collins
Join as we continue to explore what it means to let Love Open Doors to Justice. Author Resmaa Menakem is a Minnesotan with decades of experience specializing in trauma, body-centered psychotherapy, and violence prevention. My Grandmother’s Hands was a New York Times bestseller, written to help one another enter into a journey of mending hearts and bodies. My Grandmother’s Hands is about our human bodies; about how trauma affects them; about how that trauma is passed down through the generations; and about how resilience and trauma interact. The same bodily forces that make us resilient can also encourage us to harm one another. Weekly we will read through this book and meet Sundays for reflection, together we will seek to mend our hearts and bodies.
If you are not able to join on Sundays, we will experiment offering a private Facebook group to further extend independent study, group conversation and additional resources. Books are available for purchase ($15-18) on Amazon, Target and Barnes and Noble, Bookshop, and also your local bookstore too. If you need assistance getting a book, have questions please contact Pastor Jen, firstname.lastname@example.org
