Pastoral Care During Times of Pandemic

As we trust God, care for each other and watch out for neighbors, Grace Lutheran Church will follow these guidelines to embody God’s presence and Christ’s love, and also guard health.

  • Pastoral care will not be provided in people’s homes.
  • At this time, pastors and parish nurses will provide pastoral care over the phone and email. Congregation members are encouraged to care for one another.
  • If there is a death, we will provide pastoral care and prayer support for families, but public funerals will not be held in the sanctuary. If possible, we may be able to offer graveside services with small groups. We will help families plan services and hold public memorials at the church when public restrictions are lifted, and it is safe for people to gather.
  • As conditions change, these guidelines may also change. We are committed to providing the utmost care in these challenging times.

Let us cling to the promise from Romans 8 that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

In Christ,

Pastor Deb Stehlin
Interim Pastor Michelle Gawienowski
